How do I choose between Cloud and Self-hosted?+
Cloud is for teams that want zero setup — sign up, start working, we handle infrastructure, backups, and updates. Self-hosted is for teams that want full control — your data on your infrastructure, your uptime, your deployment. Both run the same software with the same features at the same tiers.
What is Dedicated?+
For enterprise and government: we deploy ATHELOS on infrastructure provisioned specifically for one customer — either on our private cloud or shipped as an appliance to your data center. Includes air-gapped option, custom SLA, and dedicated support.
Can I change deployment models later?+
Yes. Moving from Cloud to Self-hosted, or upgrading from Self-hosted to Dedicated, is supported. Your data moves with you and your configuration transfers.
What happens if I stop paying?+
Cloud subscriptions end at the billing period. Self-hosted licenses remain valid until renewal — the software keeps running, no kill switch. Renewals support continued development, not enforcement.
Is there a free tier?+
Yes. Community is free forever in both Cloud and Self-hosted. It includes the full engagement lifecycle, all playbooks and cheat-sheets, and report export — for individual operators and personal use.
What payment methods do you accept?+
Cloud subscriptions: card, billed monthly. Self-hosted licenses: card or invoice, billed annually. Dedicated and Enterprise: invoice with custom terms.
